A feminine wardrobe inspired by masculine themes.

Anthony Vaccarello's Saint Laurent fashion shows always start with an opulence that showcases the classic elegance of Yves Saint Laurent's legacy. Brilliant looks, cuts that perfectly accentuate body lines and exaggerated proportions come together to paint a stylish picture of timelessness. All of this came together at the Saint Laurent Fall 2023 fashion show, held in a venue inspired by a ballroom at the Intercontinental Hotel, where they showcased the Haute Couture collections from 1975 to 2001.

Like the designs, the runway was arranged in a structure that emulated the old and the new. With a shimmering gold rug, a decorative-inspired podium, bronze chandeliers and contrasting contemporary backdrops of glossy black box walls, Vaccarello brought all the focus to his collection.

The suits, which are among the trending silhouettes of 2023 Autumn, are combined with sharp, wide sleeves, pencil and mini skirts, gold buckles and leather belts to create looks that can be for business and party aesthetics.

Saint Laurent hits Paris catwalk with broad-shouldered glamour

Boyfriend biker jackets have wide and long cut looks to feel warm, while there are various shawl options for those looking for extra comfort and luxury. Shawls in all materials, from plaid to leather to tweed, add stylish sophistication to these jackets, trouser suits and more whilst helping to create a luxurious silhouette.

Another example of Vaccarello transforming masculine themes into a feminine wardrobe are the body suits with sharp, unique stitches. Sheer and opaque fabrics, almost invisible stockings, chiffon and crepe fabrics came together to show that the Saint Laurent woman can reveal or hide her body lines at will.

The famous names who came together at the Saint Laurent 2023 Autumn Fashion Show didn’t fail to disappoint with their fashion choices. Stars like Dua Lipa, Olivia Wilde, Charlotte Lawrence, Rose, Natalia Dyer, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Salma Hayek, Emma Mackey, Zoe Kravitz, Dixie D'Amelio, Moon Ga-young, Ellie Bamber were at the forefront of the fashion show.
